Children are welcome into a safe, warm
environment at the Bridge House.
The facility offers lots of toys,
games, puzzles, books, a
large yard and outdoor
playground.
TBH shelter offers participants everything
they need to take care of their physical
needs while finding solutions to get them
back to healthy independence. Besides a
comfortable bedroom, there is a kitchen for
daily meals, a library and computer room,
plus a large living space for interaction
with the staff and other participants.
The Bridge House "Green Initiative" helps
both the environment and our participants. Along
with newly installed solar panels, the staff also teaches efficients ways to save
money and the environment by encouraging such things as reading books instead
of wasting electricty and money on a cable and decreasing their carbon footprint
by hanging out their laundry instead of spending money at the laudromat.
Children enjoy interaction with each
other as well as time with the
staff and TBH Partners.
They continue going to
school everyday and enjoy
having stories read to them
by members of The Literacy
Council two nights each week.
